Me Being a Loser, Part Thirteen

If only he was a dragonborn, this would be worth it...

Okay, he turned to fight for a while before booking it because he was on the brink of dying. He even runs and finds a wayshrine, shouting at the ghost YES YES OPEN THE FUCKING THING and the one dragon follows him through the portal. It does die eventually by Serana's quick hands but not before he had to down sixteen healing potions.

He doesn't want to blame her but he sort of does and they just keep going. He's in a mood, she's not overly impressed with him at the moment and it just sort of sucks. So they do what they do best: kill stuff and move on.

Serana's still in a sort of 'What now?' mood and he just tries to interact with her as minimally as possible until she confronts him a bit, asking what his problem is. That sours him because HE doesn't have the problem but fuck it. Kill until they get to the damned chantry.

He spots an opening and points it out. Serana remarks she saw it already and he sort of leaves her behind when they're out in the darkness which pisses her off. She kills a falmer in front of him, reminding him that he'd be dead without her, so stay close? It doesn't go over well and they speak minimally as they get to the Chantry.

Glowy green lights.

Inside, he has a bad feeling about it. She remarks it's fine, she can't detect any life from them and he rolls his eyes, moving on, searching the damn place for any signs of a bow and finally when he's at the last, she stops him.

Enough. Look, whatever his problem is, they need to work together. Otherwise her father is going to win. He wants to fight with her but he's honestly so done that he just says, yeah, fine. They need to get that bow. And they go confront Vyrthur.

It doesn't go so well, especially when the ceiling comes down but Serana is determined. She forces the former Arch-Curate onto the balcony and basically owns the entire fight.

Once it's over and the skies clear, she takes some time to herself as does he. Gelebor shows up, remarking on the restoration of the wayshrine and they are worthy of the bow and Siddgeir sighs. He goes to get Serana from the balcony.

She remarks that now that they have the bow, Harkon is done for. He asks if she's alright with killing her father and of course she isn't. How can he suggest that? And he just sighs. Whatever. So, they have the bow. Oh goody.

He goes to lean over the balcony, looking out at the forgotten vale and he realizes that it's almost over. They just need to kill her father and then it's done. He'll go back to being a Jarl, she'll go back to whatever she originally was doing and they can all pretend like none of this ever happened.

It weighs a bit heavy on him. She asks what's wrong and he says nothing. Come on. They can grab the bow and go.

Gelebor, of course is more than pleased to give the Champions of Auri-el the bow and he takes it. It's going to be a long trek back.
